Let’s talk a bit about our bad times, the times when we need to talk to a friend, to be hugged by someone, to even cry and release the pressure. Here is my advice: don’t do it with just anyone!
A person you consider better than you will maybe make you see things differently. Someone who’s not, will drag you down and most probably make you feel worse, even if for a short period of time you think everything is better.
The adviser must be someone you respect or align with.
Get advice from someone who was in a similar situation and got it to a better end that you see for yourself.
Get advice from someone pricing all the people involved, in order to make you be a bit more clear about what’s happening.
Get advice from someone not having any advantage, no matter which direction the situation goes.
Get advices from the people involved in the situation. You’ll know at least what they expect from you.
Don’t get any advice from a person who disappointed you in the past.
Don’t get an advice from a person emotional enough to tell you what you want to hear! This will “cure” you for a short period of time and the final results might not be even close to what you would like.
Don’t get any advice from a person who’s cheating and lying!
